Utah Real Estate IndustryHealth Insurance Options

Major Medical Option If you can afford the premiums and qualify by answering the health questions, you should purchase Individual medical insurance from a local carrier and broker. This would be your best choice. You should not purchase Mini Medical because these plans offer much better coverage and major medical benefits.  Many times the Individual Policy is not an option and an alternative needs to be considered.  Link to Mini Medical Benefits

Are there Health questions?  Health problems are common reason individual applications are declined.  Every individual policy asks health questions and has preexisting-limitations (conditions such as maternity, mental health and prescriptions can be treated very differently between insurance carriers and between policies). Individual plans commonly ask if anyone to be insured had consulted with a doctor, chiropractor, counselor, or therapist within the past (3) three years. Applications ask if anyone has taken any sort of medication, drugs, shots, or remedies in the past (12) twelve months?  Carriers ask if any family member suspects they might be pregnant.  Individual plans generally state that no benefits for pre-existing physical conditions, (including pregnancy) or mental conditions for which medical advice, diagnosis, care, or treatment was recommended or received during the 12 months prior to the Effective Date. Why consider Mini Medical?  If you can not qualify for Group or Individual insurance due to health or financial reasons, the Mini Medical is a good alternative. The premiums are affordable.  The MiniMedical is Guarantee Issue with No Preexisting Limits and has No Health Questions.  There are No Waiting Period and No Deductibles. Coverage begins even if there is a pregnancy, cancer, depression, stroke, alcoholism, drug addition, heart disease, diabetes or any other illness. Link to Mini Medical Benefits
